Piano Lessons and Child Care
Piano Lessons
In General
Piano lessons help children with their school work. Studies, such as one conducted by Dr. Frances Rauscher and Gordon Shaw, show that children who play a musical instrument score higher on standard and spatial cognitive development tests. Higher scores in math have also been noted.
Piano lessons also help children to concentrate better. Reading music requires focus (the same can be
applied to chess lessons), and how many children need to focus better
on their school studies?
And of course emotional benefits
come from enjoying good music.

lessons are given by Jonathan, husband

of child care in California).
This family home child care is on the corner of 45th Streen and Walnut Avenue, Long Beach, California, near
the border with Lakewood.
